MOM, YOU BURNT THE FOOD
The disaster that is ethanol made from corn, to burn in our cars:
Less gas mileage, more taxes, more expensive fuel, more expensive food, more emissions, more water usage, more land usage, damaged engines. So what is good about it? It sounds good and makes politicians popular in Iowa (the first state to vote).
It is ALWAYS better to have millions of individuals making decisions about things like this than a privileged few in Washington.
